Legal Interpreter at the Danish Refugee Council (Athens)

Danish Refugee Council seeks for:
- Legal Interpreter

Responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited, to the following:
- Provide precise interpretation for individual legal counselling and for individual legal case management as well as for any legal service provided by the DRC legal team relevant with asylum procedures and migrants’ and refugees’ access to legal rights. Located in Attica wherever DRC legal team operates, in the urban areas or in the refugee sites, as requested. Occasionally provide written translation when required;
- Other tasks as required by Legal Officer to support the implementation of DRC’s legal assistance programme activities.
- Excellent verbal and written Greek Arabic skills are required; all candidates will undergo a language test with a native speaker.
- Basic level in verbal and written English skills will be highly appreciated.
- Extensive vocabulary and ability to accurately translate complex ideas and information, capacity to understand and translate, legal and procedural information
- Previous work experience as an interpreter with local or international NGOs will be considered as a strong advantage
- Relevant university degree, or certification of translator will be considered as a strong advantage
- Good computer skills required
