The CyI invites applications for Associate Research Scientist(s) in Water and Natural Resource Management Research and Economics. The successful candidate(s) will lead innovative research on the economic, social and environmental dimensions of climate change adaptation and impact on water and land management. They will be expected to strengthen the Institute’s transdisciplinary natural resource management research and develop and implement innovative participatory research activities. The research will be based within the Water and Marine Sciences Division of EEWRC with opportunities for cooperation with the other Divisions of EEWRC.
Required Qualifications:
- A PhD in Environmental, Agricultural or Ecological Economics, or Environmental Sciences
- At least four (4) years of postdoctoral research experience in a relevant field
- Proven experience in transdisciplinary research
- Strong scientific publication record relevant to the position
- Participation in multi-partner European or International research projects
- Presentations in scientific conferences, policy and multi-disciplinary activities and events
- Experience in cooperating with a wide variety of stakeholders, including government institutions, civil society organizations, and small or medium enterprises.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to adopt to a multicultural/multinational environment
- High level of organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written Greek and English is essential
