UBO is looking for highly motivated postdoctoral researchers for building innovative projects to apply for a Marie-Sklodowska Curie European Fellowships (MSC-EF) to the next call (12 September 2018).

Seven topics and teams have been identified for you to develop your research project in UBO and help you to write a winning proposal:

Health sciences

1. Development of multimodular formulations adapted to the Cystic Fibrosis gene therapy (Keywords: Gene delivery, synthetic vectors, aerosol, antibacterial properties, Cystic Fibrosis)
2. αSyn aggregation, UPR and Parkinson’s disease Main Research Field (Keywords: Protein-misfolding disorders, Parkinson’s disease, UPR, drug candidate)
3. Deep Learning for Ophthalmologic Image and Video Processing (Keywords: Deep Learning, Image Classification, Video Processing, Ophthalmology)
4. Deciphering the role of nucleolin (NCL) in immune evasion of the Esptein-Barr oncovirus (Keywords: Cell Biology, Cancer, Chemical Biology, Budding Yeast, Drug Screening, G-quadruplexes, translation regulation, immune evasion, FRET-based single molecule analysis)
5. Ca2+ signaling modulators as therapeutic tools for autoimmune diseases ( Keywords: Calcium SIgnaling – Autoimmunity- B lymphocyte – Immunology)
6. Itch Research (Keywords: Itch; pruritus; neuron; skin)
7. Prevention of Metabolic Syndrome by several modalities of physical activity: an integrative study at physiologic, mitochondrial and molecular levels (Keywords: Metabolic syndrome (MetS), physical activity, training, cardiometabolic diseases)

MSC-EF are prestigious fellowships funded by the European Commission. They offer a rare opportunity to talented scientists: the chance to set up research projects of their own. They provide an attractive grant for 1 to 2 years including salaries (around 2500€ net per month, with social care included) and allowances for mobility, family and research (detailed information on the call). If funded, the project proposed in September 2018 could start in May 2019.
