Master's & Doctoral Programmes at University of Ljubljana | Σλοβενία

The Faculty of Computer and Information Science offers four second-cycle master’s study programmes that provide a wide range of knowledge in the field of computer and information science and in related fields. There is major emphasis on the interdisciplinary linking of knowledge, so all programmes allow for cooperation with partner faculties and universities.

• Computer and Information Science, second-cycle master’s programme
• Computer Science and Mathematics, interdisciplinary second-cycle master’s programme (with the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics)
• Computer Science Education, interdisciplinary second-cycle master’s programme (together with the Faculty of Education)
• Cognitive Science, interdisciplinary master’s programme (together with the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Education and several foreign universities)
• Multimedia, interdisciplinary master's programme (with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering)

All programmes are evaluated at 120 ECTS credits. They are divided into two years, or four semesters at 30 ECTS each.

Enrolment in one of the master’s programmes is open to anyone that has completed a first-cycle programme (academic or professional higher education) or equivalent study programme. Master’s programmes are also open to students who have completed an old university programme but who are bound to pay for tuition in accordance with the valid price list of the University of Ljubljana.

The FRI offers also a doctoral study programme in Computer and Information Science. Moreover it collaborates in providing the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme in Bioscience, which is coordinated by the UL Biotechnical Faculty.
