The 2019 La Guarimba International Film Festival has been announced, with the call for entries opening to filmmakers around the world in September 2018.
La Guarimba International Film Festival is seeking for Fiction, Animation, Documentary, Experimental films and Music Videos, as well as Children’s Animation on all themes and of any nationality and language.
The selection for 2019 will include around 70 films that will be selected to be screened at the festival and will be part of the competition.. The best Fiction, Documentary and Animation films will each be awarded with 800 Euro and a trophy. The best Music Video will also be awarded and a special Audience Award will be announced. In addition, the organizers in partnership with UNICEF Italia will create La Grotta dei Piccoli Children’s Animation program with more than 50 films selected in a competition program for children.
Only films produced after 1st January 2017 are eligible for submission. Film format is not limited and any filmmaker may enter with more than one entry.
The seventh (2019) edition of La Guarimba International Film Festival will be held from 7th to 11th August 2019 in Amantea (Calabria), southern Italy.
La Guarimba International Film Festival 2019 Submission Fees
The submission fee starts at 7.5 Euro for short films and 5 Euro for music videos and children’s animation.
