EUROPARC Federation with support from the Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S. awards three visiting scholarships to promising young conservationists, who are committed to working for the benefit of Protected Areas. Scholarships are awarded to undertake a 4 month study visit on a particular theme to one or more Protected Areas in a European country. The study visit has to be undertaken in a European country, beyond the applicant´s home country. The awards will each be worth EUR 3.000.
Study Subject (s):
The Scholarship programme themes for 2015 are: Importance of values of N2000 sites and protected areas on reducing impacts of climate change; Implementation of the EU Biodiversity Strategy in the European protected areas; Sustainable development in protected areas and Contribution to a resource-efficient, green and competitive low-carbon economy Contribution of protected areas to safeguard the European citizens from environment-related pressures and risks to health and wellbeing.
