The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) is an independent, non-profit research centre engaged in basic and applied biomedical science. Its ultimate aim is to improve the quality of people’s lives by developing new applications for the remarkable discoveries that are being made in the life sciences. IRB Barcelona was established in 2005 by the Government of Catalonia, the University of Barcelona and the Barcelona Science Park.
IRB Barcelona focuses efforts on developing the scientific careers of more than 100 postdocs and 130 PhD students. The advanced research training programme includes specific scientific and technology courses and seminars, lab management workshops, communications training and career development sessions.
The IRB Barcelona International Postdoctoral Programme aims to attract highly talented scientists seeking advanced research training and career development opportunities.
