- Child Friendly Space Assistant
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in a relevant field such as Education, Social sciences, Refugee and Migration studies, Psychology
- Previous experience (including volunteer) with refugees and asylum seekers
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- It is “Essential” that you fluently speak one of the following languages; Arabic and/or Kurdish (Sorani, Kurmanji)
- Greek language skill is an asset
- Experience of community-based or community mobilization work in a humanitarian context is a strong advantage
- Experience working with children
- Social work experience and/or experience in humanitarian work preferably in emergencies
- Strong experience in providing recreational activities to children (drama, play, games, circus, sport, storytelling, drawing/painting, artistic activities, music, dancing)
- Ability to work with refugees in underprivileged settings
- Excellent creativity skills;
- Excellent communication skills especially with children
- Strong computer skills
- High professional ethics
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Dynamic personality and ability to work under pressure
- Commitment to the values, vision and mission of DRC
- Commitment and respect of the DRC code of conduct
- Commitment and respect of the UNICEF child protection policy
- Strong initiative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principle
- Flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn from others

- Ability to cope with high workload and stress and identify priority activities and assignments, and adjust priorities as required
