The Dialop (Dialogue Project) Summer School is a joint project between universities, foundations, and associationswith ­Marxist or Christian backgrounds developed by faculty members coming from different ideological and philoso­phical
matrixes.

The aim is to promote dialogue between Marxist and Christian positions and develop common commitments to peace, non-violence, social justice, democracy, and ecological transformation. Students and young activists from different
European countries are invited to be part of this process.

Europe now runs the risk of becoming a continent of walls and fences and of increasing inequality. In the face of this scenario, a Europe of bridges and exchange of cultural goods and values must be explored and put to the test. An inter­cultural andinterfaith dialogue around the creation of a democratic and peaceful Europe in a world of increasing social, political, and cultural conflicts must be encouraged.

The accessible spaces of dialogue must be explored in practice. Issues that can be dealt with positively must be looked into, misunderstandings and prejudices pointed out, and the differences understood in all their complexity.
