International Rescue Committee seeks for:
- Child Protection Case Worker
Job Requirements:
- Technical diploma or degree in social work
- Minimum of 1 year experience in social work or case management with children/ adolescents, in humanitarian or development settings
- Demonstrated understanding of working with adolescents and particularly unaccompanied and separated refugee children
- Previous experience in a safe zone or shelter for UAC highly desirable
- Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well and work in cross-cultural setting.
- Fluency in Greek and English. Preference will be given to candidates with fluency in the following languages: Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Kurdish.
- Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Responsiveness to queries and referrals as and when needed and able to manage a varying workload
- Cultural awareness and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people
- Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups of people
