The Institute for Mediterranean Studies (IMS) of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH) announces an open temporary staff position (fixed term employment contract or contract of service) for a postdoctoral researcher in the area of “Physical Environment/Geomorphology/Satellite Remote Sensing”. The position is funded by the research project POLIEIA II-KRIPIS (5002478) Call for Action “Strategic Development of Research and Technological Institutions" / NSRF 2014-2020 (EPAnEK-Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation). IMS-FORTH is located in the city of Rethymno on the island of Crete in Greece.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must be Greek citizens or citizens of the Member States of the European Union and must have the following qualifications:
- PhD in Satellite Remote Sensing or Earth & Environmental Sciences or Geomorphology
- Experience in field projects and [participation in research projects of remote sensing or geomorphology
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Relevant publications in the topic of the call
