Apply for this position in the Post-Master User-System Interaction program at the department of Industrial Design at the Eindhoven University of Technology. This is a fully funded 2-year position leading to the award of a Professional Doctorate in Engineering degree in User System Interaction.
The appointment is for two years starting in May 2015 (exact starting date is negotiable).
PDEng position: App development for health monitoring
The selected candidate will work on a research project to develop a mobile app that will serve as a platform to record and assess sleep-related symptoms and behaviors in patients with sleep disorders. The project will be executed as a collaboration between the department of Industrial Design, and Sleep Medicine Center Kempenhaeghe (see www.kempenhaeghe.nl). The candidate will work for twelve months on the PDEng project and will follow courses on User System Interaction during the remainder of the appointment. Candidates should have a background in an area relating to interaction design (e.g., industrial design, software engineering, human computer interaction), and experienced in the design and/or development mobile applications. Candidates will be embedded in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of computer scientists, industrial designers, and medical doctors.
