Norwegian Refugee Council seeks for:
- Site Planners – Civil / Topographic Engineers
Qualifications:
- Advanced university degree in civil or topographic engineering or other relevant academic background.
- At least 5 years of prior relevant professional experience, including direct experience working with facilities that accommodate refugees and/or migrants.
- Very good working knowledge of relevant national and international standards for shelter and WASH facilities of reception centres.
- Familiarity with working on engineering plans, as well as with the Greek urban planning legislation.
- Strong knowledge of the Greek legislative framework for public contracts, commissioning research studies and public/technical works.
- Knowledge of methodologies and techniques of planning, managing, monitoring and evaluating construction projects.
- Competent user of basic computer software (especially Word, Powerpoint and Excel), and engineering design tools
- Experience with a Government or UN agency, or a regional or international organization is preferred.
- An understanding of the mission, core values and objectives of the Reception and Identification Service (RIS), as well as NRC NORCAP.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Greek.
