International Rescue Committee seeks for:
- Child Protection Case worker
Job Requirements:
- Technical diploma or degree in social work;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social work or case management with children, in humanitarian or development settings;
- Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly unaccompanied and separated refugee children;
- Experience handling complex child protection cases;
- Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well and work in cross-cultural setting.
- Fluency in English and Greek. Preference will be given to candidates with fluency in the following languages: Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Kurdish.
- Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures;
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
- Able to adapt in a camp working environment and working under adverse weather conditions;
- Responsiveness to queries and referrals as and when needed and able to manage a varying workload;
- Cultural awareness and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people;
- Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups of people.
