In January of 2019, there will be an application for fellowship program in Korean National Research Foundation (NRF). The requirement is that he/she should have a Ph.D finished not more than five years ago outside Korea from the time of application.
I want to apply for the program with a candidate who is a theoretical physicist/chemist in the electronic structure calculations, specifically for 2D materials. Once selected in the NRF, the candidate will be supported for four years. The annual payment may be flexible, but it amounted to $ 50,000 plus alpha per year in the past programs.
We aim at the application of 2D materials to energy materials. Specifically, we are working on the electrochemical/photoelectrochemical reduction of molecules such as H2O,CO2, and N2 to fuel molecules on the materials both in thermodynamic and kinetic point of view. For this, we have at least two highly qualified experimental collaborators in Korea.
