NHH is pleased to announce four to six openings in the PhD programme at the Department of Finance. Candidates admitted to the PhD programme will receive the title of PhD Research Scholar.
The Department of Finance has 19 faculty members, two-thirds of which are international. Our research spans all major fields of finance, including corporate finance, asset pricing, and market microstructure. We publish regularly in top journals and are one of the leading finance groups in Europe. The department has an active research seminar series featuring invited top scholars and hosts the Center for Corporate Finance, which is rated excellent by the Norwegian Research Council.
The PhD program, which has a total of 12-15 students, is an important part of the department’s research environment. Doctoral candidates are expected to aim for a career in academia.
