- Non Formal Education Manager
Requirements:
- Degree in Education, international development or related field from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated competencies in promoting community engagement initiatives, and education and empowerment strategies, with a good working knowledge of education sector policy, particularly non-formal education.
- Prior substantive and sustained work experience in achieving results (learning outcomes) on the ground
- Experience and exposure to ICT solutions, youth entrepreneurship, adolescent development, are all assets.
- Ability to reach consensus and implement a program in a complex environment; manage processes or operations which produce practical operational results
- Ability to work with teams, communicate and coordinate with government departments and other agencies at various levels;
- Experience in advocacy and policy development;
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to think and plan strategically;
- Demonstrated creativity, innovation and initiative
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and write proficiently in English
- Minimum 2 years of experience in setting up, implementing, and supervising NFE programs.
- Experience in capacity building of staff including training and technical supervision.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in NGO, and substantial experience in NFE. Experience in team-building and engagement with communities; familiarity with needs-based participatory approach.
- Experience of working in camp contexts.
- Proven commitment to accountability and quality assurance.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Experience in managing staff
- Experience working in cross-cultural, multi-sector and/or remote environments.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in adverse conditions.
- Substantial project management skills and experience
- Have a good sense of humour;
- Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures.
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Office.
