Providing support to children and adults in their development of the English language
Helping to develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
Provide social support including creating an environment to build the confidence, resilience and self-esteem of participants
Motivating and encouraging pupils
Attending regular planning meetings
Facilitating the Youth Centre kitchen, working with a team of teenagers in cooking a meal and providing social support when needed
Attending fortnightly trainings
Reporting any child or adult protection concerns
Remaining flexible based on the project needs
Assisting in the start-up of a new project, including some manual work as we build our new centre
Cleaning of the spaces twice a day along with the rest of the volunteer team
Experience in teaching, ESL, social work, youth work, or project-based activities
An awareness of migration issues and sensitivity to working with vulnerable communities
