Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IPHYS), the leading research institution in the field of normal and pathological physiology and biomedical research in the Czech Republic is looking for PhD candidates in the field of neuroscience, metabolism, signal transduction and protein biochemistry. PhD students are employees of the IPHYS enjoying a flat-rate university stipend and up to full-time salary and benefits. PhD studies at the IPHYS start in October 2019 and their main features include:
- Research in the fields of neuroscience, cardiovascular physiology and metabolism
- Experiments conducted at molecular to systemic (whole-organism) level

Applicants must hold or anticipate to receive a Master’s degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry, physiology, medicine or other relevant fields before the start of the PhD program in October 2019.
