In order to support its scaled up response in Greece UNICEF is seeking to expand its field presence throughout the country through the deployment of field monitors who will be responsible for: keeping UNICEF informed of the evolving situation of children affected by the refugee and migrant crisis by monitoring the situation of children’s rights; maintaining close communication with IOM, local authorities, UNHCR and NGOs and representing UNICEF in open-sites level coordination forums; providing technical support to authorities and SMS agencies on child-focused services and planning; facilitating, monitoring and reporting the implementation of UNICEF-supported interventions.
