Early Stage Researchers (ESR) are invited to send their applications to the 10 positions available in the new H2020, EU-funded, Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Joint Doctoral programme (EJD) "SUSPOL – Sustainable Organocatalisys and Polymers”.
SUSPOL EJD brings together leading academic and industrial groups to train a new generation of researchers. We are looking for highly motivated Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) with a MSc degree in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Materials, Chemical Engineering, Computational Chemistry or similar, within the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research career.
Description
We offer an interdisciplinary training programme covering innovative and state-of-the-art approaches to current organocatalysis and polymer synthesis. The programme will combine research-specific skills, complementary skills and soft skills, and will involve both the academic and industry sectors aimed to prepare all researchers optimally for their future careers.
ESRs would be hired by one of the following Universities:
1. University of the Basque Country. Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain (UPV/EHU)
2. University of Bordeaux. Bordeaux, France (UB)
3. University of Warwick. Warwick, United Kingdom (WARWICK)
4. University of Mons. Mons, Belgium (UMONS)
Each ESR will have to carry out an individual research Project (See project titles below). As part of the Joint Programme, ESRs must join PhD programmes at two universities (recruiting University and another University) and they will spend part of their time in both. Short secondments in any of the six industrial organizations (FORESA, BASF, IBM, Critical Pharma, Synthomer and Purac) will be also part of the training programme.
