The purpose of the fellowship is to enable a Post-doctoral Researcher to propose and carry out a project of relevance to the Hellenic Observatory (part of the European Institute). It has been made possible by the generosity of the National Bank of Greece.
You are eligible to apply if you have successfully defended your PhD [see Job Description and Person Specification for details] within the last two years and do not currently hold a tenure-track academic position. To be considered for this post, you should have comprehensive and substantial knowledge of contemporary Greece; provide evidence of publication and/or project delivery through independent original research; and possess the ability to develop a coherent programme of research.

Candidates are invited to submit their extended Research Proposals which fall within the Hellenic Observatory’s interest covering Political, Economic and/or Social Developments.
This is a fixed term post for 12 months starting in October 2015 or as soon as possible after this date. In exceptional circumstances, two appointments may be made to share the 12 month fellowship.
