You will be working as an integral member of our expanding international consulting team. Using advanced analysis expertise and access to the very latest IES performance analysis technology, IES consultancy offers customised services to meet the needs of architects, engineers, building owners, facilities & energy management, developers, local authorities and contractors.
IES is seeking to expand the team of building services engineers in both Glasgow and Dublin to meet the demand for the services.
You will be responsible for modelling complex projects. You will build detailed models, run simulations of building and mechanical system design alternatives and advise clients on the results of those simulations. You will

The Candidate
IES is looking for experienced building simulation engineers. Skills include the following:
Clear and confident communications skills
Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, such as energy engineering or building services engineering
Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls and/or modelling of systems is desirable
Experience of using building simulation software or related software tools is desirable (e.g. CAD, energy modelling, loads analysis, daylight modelling, solar modelling, HVAC design tools)
Experience with the IES Virtual Environment software will be a distinct advantage
Knowledge of BREEAM, LEED, UK and/or Irish Part L/Section 6, ASHRAE 90.1 analysis and Building Commissioning is desirable.
