Production Manager
Position overview:
The job holder will be based in Xanthi and the role’s main responsibilities will be:
- To oversee the production operation
- To oversee all aspects of the production process to ensure it is effective and efficient
- To ensure products are manufactured in line with the relevant quality targets and technical specifications
- To resolve relevant customer complaints
- To liaise with sales in terms of the cost-effective implementation of the budget
- To manage stock levels in line with agreed guidelines
- To manage the product development process e.g. trials, customer visits
- To maintain an up to date understanding of new technology/best practice and all other relevant developments within the relevant markets
- To ensure a culture of continuous improvement e.g. by benchmarking
- Responsible for the purchasing/negotiation of certain items - secondary materials, packaging, machinery parts
- Direct management of a team of people
- Responsible for the specification of all new equipment, the preparation of capital investment proposals and the eventual installation of any such equipment
Requirements:
- University Degree in Engineering
- Fluency in English
- Excellent computer knowledge especially MS OFFICE software
- Previous experience in a similar position (at least 3-5 years)
- Effective people management skills
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focused on results
- Excellent communication, cooperation
- A demonstrably safety conscious approach.
