VACANCY FOR A POST DOCTORAL FELLOW (Reference Code: 280515)

THE POSITION

The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics has a vacancy for a Post-Doctoral Fellow to work on the ERA-Chair BIORISE project funded by the European Union. The position is for a period of 24 months with a possibility of extension for up to 5 years.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
PhD degree in any Biological Science, Bioinformatics or closely related fields

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in management of research projects.

VACANCY FOR A POST DOCTORAL FELLOW (Reference Code: 400515)

THE POSITION

The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics has a vacancy for a Post-Doctoral Fellow to work on research projects on Non-Invasive Prenatal Diagnosis funded by the European Union Research Council (ERC Advance grant). The position is for a period of 24 months with a possibility of extension until 30.04.2018.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomathematics, or Biostatistics.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
 Strong computational and statistical analysis skills;
 Prior experience with next generation sequencing;
 Proficiency with Unix/Linux command line environment;
 Database design using SQL;
 Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C,C++, Perl, Python, Java or R;
 Experience in parallel programming.
