Research group investigating gene regulatory networks in the human commensal and pathogenic yeast Candida albicans is looking for highly motivated PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers. The successful applicants will become part of Dr. J. C. Perez’s group (http://www.imib-wuerzburg.de/research/perez/group-leader/) in the Institute for Molecular Infection Biology at Universität Würzburg starting in summer 2015.
Our group uses a combination of genomics, genetics, molecular biology and bioinformatics approaches to study the traits that allow C. albicans to inhabit the human body. The successful applicants must have a Master’s and/or a PhD degree and a strong foundation in at least one of our described areas of interest. Demonstrated experience with mouse models of infection and analyzing RNA-seq and ChIP-seq data sets is highly desirable. Daily communication in the Institute is in English.
