Our International PhD Programme (IPP) gives talented and enthusiastic students the opportunity to undertake interdisciplinary doctoral research at the cutting edge of modern biology.

Career-building skills for the lab and beyond
The IPP offers comprehensive training in advanced research methodologies. These include, for instance, practical courses in bioinformatics, advanced microscopy, cytometry and cell sorting, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data and statistics.
In addition to learning new, state-of-the-art techniques from the wide range of experts that take part in the Programme, we offer dedicated courses covering transferable skills that are essential for a successful career, whatever you go on to do. Scientific writing and presentation skills, project management, conflict management, patenting are some of the topics covered.
All students within the Programme receive a generous stipend to support them during their research.
Required qualifications:
• Master's degree or Diploma
• Motivation to solve complex biological problems
• Excellent communication skills in English
