The Basque Center for Applied Mathematics - BCAM whose mission is to develop high quality interdisciplinary research in the frontiers of Applied Mathematics, has recently launched several job offers for postdoctoral researchers and PhD students.
We have opened a call to fill 5 postdoctoral fellowships in the following topics, please click on the links to read more about each vacancy:
Harmonic Analysis and Differential Equations
“HADE - Harmonic Analysis and Differential Equations: New Challenges” is an ERC Advanced grant project that starts on December 1st 2015. This project seeks to propose new challenges and develop original analytical tools that, if carried out, would entail significant progress on three different aspects of some fundamental Partial Differential Equations of Mathematical Physics: 1. Vortex Filament Equation (VFE) 2.Relativistic and Non-relativistic Critical Electromagnetic Hamiltonians 3. Uncertainty Principles and Applications
Computational Approximation Theory
Approximation Theory, Real Number Computation, Applied Geometry
Computational Mathematics
Geometric Modelling, Kinematic Geometry
Statistical Physics
Stochastic Modelling for Complex Systems
Algebraic Geometry and Singularities
Singularity Theory, Algebraic Geometry, Symplectic Geometry. Conduct your own research and at the same time contribute to the ERC project ERC CoG_2013 / 651655 NMST.
