Anatolia is seeking an individual to fill the position of Buildings and Grounds Officer (BGO) who will coordinate and monitor services in building repairs, constructions and ground fields of the entire campus, starting in July 2015.
The BGO reports to Buildings and Grounds Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates repairs and/or reconstruction of campus buildings and grounds
- Monitors and provides progress reports to the Buildings and Grounds Director
- Monitors and reinsures the compliance with service contracts with external contractors
- Writes reports, prepares small scale studies for building and grounds reconstructions, and evaluate relevant tenders. The BGO is responsible for ordering construction materials and preparing contracts with external contractors and suppliers under the guidance of the Buildings and Grounds Director and the approval of the Vice President for Operations and Planning
- Undertakes processes and transactions concerning building and ground constructions with public services
- Maintains records of new renovation/construction projects..
- Maintains an electronic archive of technical services department.
- Reviews, analyses and validates documents of building and grounds constructions
- Responsible for the oversight of construction/renovation projects
- Monitors the implementation of the approved budget, manages and records relevant invoices
- Coordinates custodial staff daily tasks
- Coordinates the mailing correspondence with public services, co-contractors, etc.
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree (from accredited University or Technological Educational Institution) preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Engineering working license
- Driving license (A category)
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to write and communicate effectively both in Greek and English
- A minimum of five years previous experience in relevant working field
- Skills in office management and financial planning,
- Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively, write reports, prepare small scale studies for building and grounds reconstructions, and evaluate relevant tenders
- Broaden knowledge and on-hands experience in other fields of maintenance is desirable
Military Service
- A male candidate must have completed his military duties
