Supply Chain Manager (Komotini)

A dynamic Greek company in the fast moving consumer goods sector, operating its production unit in Komotini is seeking for a Supply Chain Manager.

The right incumbent will be responsible for the co-ordination of supply chain activities in order to ensure effective and cost-efficient supply and distribution of products in Greece.

Main Duties

• Oversee and manage company's overall supply chain, warehouse and logistics operations.
• Executes the ordering and purchasing procedures in cooperation with the Customer Service Department, monitors inventory levels and distribution of products, ensuring the optimum and cost effective operational service levels.
• Manages relationships with 3PL providers, ensuring that KPI's, systems and procedures are followed appropriately and are in alignment with business standards, objectives and policies.
• Assists in the development of operational processes and procedures, implementing new work practices where required to increase efficiency and minimize costs.
• Prepares relevant reporting to the Management Team.
• Prepares and controls the department's budget.
• Directs, coaches and supports the work of his/her team, encouraging the establishment of a balanced and motivating working environment.

Candidate profile:

• University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
• At least 5 years of working experience in supply chain management roles, preferably within an industrial environment.
• Excellent command of the English language and PC literacy.
• Advanced communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizing and planning ability.
• Decision making and problem solving ability.
• Advanced leadership skills.
• Business orientation and strong personal achievement drive and proactive thinking.
• Process and systems orientation.
