Description
European Union & Legal Reform Summer School is a week-long post-graduate course organized by the CCSDD and the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade. During the course, students attend an innovative series of lectures and roundtable discussions in order to deepen their understanding of the EU’s expansion eastward and all of the subsequent legal and constitutional implications. Balkan countries and former Soviet satellites represent key areas for future enlargement, but the regions recent histories of conflict have brought a number of issues to the fore. Past Summer Schools have tackled topics like minority rights protection, constitutional courts and constitutional justice, the implications of EU enlargement on democratic transitions and consolidation, reforms still needed by consolidated democracies, and lessons to be learned from the founding members of the European Economic Community (EEC).

Eligibility
This Summer school is open to final-year undergraduate students and graduate students in Law and Political Science, as well as young professionals and scholars.
Scholarship
The full cost of tuition, accommodation and food during the time of the conference is approximatively 600 Euro. The Organizator offers a number of partial and full scholarships available for students from Italy and countries of Central and Eastern Europe. While selection of applicants will be based on the academic merit of the applications, those willing to bear the participation costs fully or partially will be preferred in case of equally strong applications.
