The Environmental Genetics and Molecular Toxicology (EGMT) Graduate Program at the University of Cincinnati is open for applications to the (1) PhD degree and (2) MS degree program. The program offers in-depth training in cutting edge research to prepare for a career in academia, industry or government. The curriculum emphasizes genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying diseases due to environmental exposures and genetic factors. Students benefit from the program’s high faculty-to-student ratio and receive individualized guidance from nationally- and internationally-recognized researchers through a process of integrating information across multiple research disciplines. Students are trained rigorously to think logically and creatively and learn skills necessary to be an independent scientific investigator and a leader in biomedical research. Our graduates are well-equipped with knowledge and expertise for career opportunities in environmental health science-related positions throughout the United States and abroad.
