The DFG Research Training Group 2046 “Parasite Infections: From Experimental Models to Natural Systems” offers 15 cutting edge PhD research projects on “One Health“ aspects of Parasite Infections. We aim to install a cutting edge curriculum to educate “next generation” parasitologists.
PhD students will study different parasite infections from the biological, medical, and translational perspectives. In an interdisciplinary approach, graduates will be trained in molecular approaches, cellular interactions and organismic studies on key parasites of model organisms, free-ranging animals and humans. RTG students will study different parasite infections from the biological, medical, and translational perspectives.
Applicants must hold a Master, a German Diploma or equivalent degree in biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, chemistry, or other related subjects. It is not necessary to hold the degree at the time of application. However, you must have been awarded your degree prior to the enrollment into our program to receive the fellowship.
