Successful candidates pursue a doctoral degree in the Doctoral Programme in Medicine and Life Sciences. The expected duration of full-time studies is four years and fixed-term contracts can be drawn up for a period of one to four years. The contract’s length depends on how far along in their studies the successful candidates are and when they expect to graduate. Students must accept the position by January 1st, 2020 at the earliest.
The positions carry a trial period and the progress of the thesis work is evaluated annually according to the personal study and supervisory plan for doctoral studies.
In addition to the thesis work, doctoral researchers teach or do other work connected to their studies at the faculty. These duties may not exceed five per cent of their total working hours.
