Three postdoctoral positions are available at the laboratory of Dr. Teresa Giraldez at the Center for Biomedical Research of the Canary Islands (CIBICAN) and the University of La Laguna.
The European Research Council, through an ERC Consolidator Grant (ERC-2014-CoG-NANOPDICS), funds the Project. Each position is open for up to five years.
CIBICAN was created through a collaboration between the University of La Laguna (ULL), the "Cabildo Insular de Tenerife" (Local Tenerife Council) and the Canary Islands Government, to strengthen the international presence of the ULL's research groups active in the fields of biomedicine and health sciences.CIBICAN integrates research groups associated with the University's biomedical institutes and the clinical research units at the two University Hospitals, incorporating general services, scientific equipment and a knowledge base that will help accelerate biomedical research and the transfer of results to the healthcare sector.
Preferred candidates should have a Ph.D and show great motivation, being able to work interactively in a highly collaborative academic/research environment including physiologists, molecular biologists, neuroscientists and astrophysicists.
Experience with electrophysiology and/or optical methods is relevant.
