The Chain Florey Clinical Research Fellowship Scheme presents clinical trainees with a unique opportunity to study basic science supported by two world-renowned academic institutions, Imperial College and the Medical Research Council London Institute of Medical Sciences (LMS). The scheme has a variety of PhD projects on offer which focus specifically on experimental science rather than on clinical research. PhD projects will be with LMS Group Leaders and be conducted in LMS labs. Registration fees are covered as part of the Fellowship.
The LMS is a world-class Research Institute closely linked to the Faculty of Medicine of Imperial College London, at its Hammersmith Hospital Campus. The Institute has a history of welcoming clinicians into its labs to carry out basic and applied research as part of their training.
