Artists and curators from all parts of the world are invited to submit applications for the 7th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art.
Emerging artists are encouraged to submit open call applications to create three objects of site-specific art for three internal facades of the Museum of Moscow. A 10-project shortlist will be drawn up by the Board of Experts, whereas the international jury will go on to select 3 winners from the shortlist.
From 13 July to 13 September 2020 the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art will take place in Moscow for the seventh time. Traditionally held in summer, the upcoming Biennale for Young Art will now last until mid-September to coincide with many major events in the city: summer festivals, Moscow City Day, and the Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair.
The 7th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art will be comprised of 4 programmes:
Main Project
Special Programme
Educational Programme
Parallel Programme
It is the second time the Museum of Moscow has given its space to the Main Project of the Biennale for Young Art and become the partner of the 7th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art.
The 2020 Biennale will be run, as always, in the spirit of care and attention to artists and curators, openness towards all Moscow institutions promoting contemporary art, expansion of urban projects and the project’s geography, and forging horizontal connections. The accessibility of the project to a wider audience and the regional focus are among the most urgent issues on this year’s agenda.
