These doctoral studentships are within the research theme Environment, which focuses on environmental and ecosystem change over different temporal and spatial scales as a result of climatic, geological and biological processes, as well as human-induced impacts. The theme’s research is organised in three overlapping and interrelated focus areas: Environmental change, Ecological processes and Human impact and sustainability. The application must be relevant to this research theme, as well as to the study of the Baltic Sea region or the Eastern European area, because the position is affiliated with the Baltic and Eastern European Graduate School, BEEGS.
