Summer School | 4th edition > 18-28 August 2020 | Bergamo, Italy
Nonlinear Life is the summer school with a converging sciences approach on engineering themes related to human health, launched in 2017 by the Riga Technical University (RTU), Latvia. This year the summer school reaches its 4th edition and it is organized by the University of Bergamo, Italy and RTU. A certificate of attendance and 6 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits will be awarded upon completion of the program.
Professors from Latvia, Germany, Serbia, Turkey, Italy and CERN will deliver lectures within the fields of biomedical engineering, life sciences and medical technologies. In particular, the focus will be on new technologies and materials for biomedical purposes, new technologies for medical diagnosis and treatment, and wearable wireless sensors and IoT systems.
The summer school is open to up to 25 undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students with a background in medicine, biology or engineering. A good command of the English language is essential. The summer school will combine frontal lectures, group work, several educational visits as well as a social program. Hands-on learning and multidisciplinary interactions will be fostered by means of group projects that participants will develop during the summer school. Have a unique opportunity to make the most of the upcoming summer experience by combining the participation in the summer school with an ERASMUS+ internship in the research labs of the Engineering Departments of the University of Bergamo.
