The International Law of the Sea Summer Academy, which is starting its activities within Kadir Has University, aims to provide education in fundamental areas of the Law of the Sea by bringing together judges from international tribunals, academics and practitioners specialized in international law. It also aims to promote consciousness and knowledge regarding current issues related to the law of the sea through the provision of lectures on specific topics alongside lectures related to fundamental topics. All the lectures are to be taught in English by experts in the related fields.
The International Law of the Sea Summer Academy is a non-profit endeavor which will gather together participants from different nations in order to discuss legal problems occurring in the global arena concerning maritime areas, and thereby provide the necessary human and information resources needed to understand political and commercial issues.
The 2020 session of The International Law of the Sea Summer Academy is going to be held between 13 July and 24 July at the Cibali Campus of Kadir Has University, by the shores of the Golden Horn.
