European Union & Legal Reform Summer School
7-13 July 2020, Igalo (Herceg-Novi), Montenegro
The year 2020 marks a special year for the European Union which finds itself facing many new challenges but also looking for ways forward. What direction is the EU heading today? What would the Union look like without UK? What are the membership prospects for the Western Balkans? How has the European Economic Constitution transformed through the financial crisis? Which are the new emerging institutional arrangements for the European governance?
This year’s edition of the Summer School will explore some of these issues and bring them in the context of the EU enlargement effort. It will take place in Igalo (Herceg-Novi), Montenegro, from July 7-13, 2020.
The vision of the EU & Legal Reform Summer School is to create a dynamic network of scholars and practitioners who will work to enact critical reforms as the EU expands.
The summer school is open to final-year undergraduate students and graduate students in Law and Political Science, as well as to young professionals and scholars. The ideal candidate will have solid background knowledge in European Law and an understanding of the mechanisms of EU enlargement.
