The Department of Biomedical Science, University of Sheffield, UK, is looking for excellent postdoctoral candidates to apply for the 2015 call of the Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual Fellowships (MSCA IF 2015). Duration of 12-24 months.
Our research focuses on the biology of human health and disease. It includes the traditional disciplines of cell and developmental biology alongside innovative research programmes that cross the established disciplines of biology, medicine, engineering and the physical sciences, drawing basic and clinician scientists together. This creates a unique environment for translating basic research in cell biology and developmental biology into innovative opportunities to treat human diseases, including neurodegeneration, deafness, cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and muscular dystrophy.
Research within the Department of Biomedical Science, alongside our colleagues in the Faculties of Science and Medicine, Dentistry and Health, was rated top in the UK for biomedical science allied to healthcare, and fifth for biological sciences in the recent Research Excellence Framework 2014.
We encourage applications from excellent postdocs in any of the department´s research areas.
General requirements:
- PhD degree or at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience.
