Your individual training scheme is customized to your personal and professional skills, as well as the demands of the industrial project.Background on the topicWireless charging is typically based on magnetic induction, which requires that the power source and receiving device are in very close proximity to one another. These types of solutions typically require special alignment and charging docks. Far-field radiative RF power transfer offers a solution for continuous wireless power over a distance. This work focusses on harvesting RF energy at lower input power levels than state-of-the-art solutions, and offering a better operating distance than other radiative solutions.
Most of today's RF harvesters either have poor sensitivity, or require calibration, or a special technology process, or a large chip/antenna area. We want to focus on a design that consumes a small area, good sensitivity and wireless range performance. The IC design will focus on a combination of a rectifier and a boost-buck DC-DC converter. The challenge is to come to an adaptive rectifier design with a large voltage boost (and hence good sensitivity), but minimizing the drop in output current at the same time. The DC/DC converter will be co-designed with the rectifier to deal with fluctuating input conditions and load impedances, for an optimum power-point-tracking (PPT) system with high flexibility and adaptivity.

Literature survey of the state-of-the-art rectifier and DC-DC converters for RF wireless power transfer
Propose architecture of RF wireless power transfer IC.
System simulation, circuit design and IC measurement.
