OpenNews is a joint project of Mozilla and the Knight Foundation dedicated to helping journalism thrive on the open web. They are building an ecosystem of tools and programs to strengthen and support the community of developers and data journalists in newsrooms. The Knight-Mozilla Fellowships place developers, technologists, civic hackers, and data crunchers in 10-month paid fellowships to develop open-source projects in the partner newsrooms around the world. The 2015 cohort is fourth group of Knight-Mozilla Fellows, and will be working with news technology teams at:
- Correct!v – Berlin, Germany;
- The Coral Project – New York, NY (based out of the New York Times);
- Frontline – Boston, MA;
- Los Angeles Times Data Desk – Los Angeles, CA;
- NPR – Washington, DC;
- Vox Media – Austin, TX; New York, NY; or Washington, DC.
Eligibility
This fellowship is an international program and it welcome participants from all over the world that are interested in journalism.
