The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics is looking for an Associate Scientist for its Department of Electron Microscopy/Molecular Pathology.
The successful candidate will work on research projects and prepare grant proposals in order to provide and disseminate data for use in understanding and treatment of cancer. Additionally, he/she will contribute to MSc/PhD student supervision and teaching at the Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine.
The position is for a period of 24 months, with possibility of extension.
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
A Ph.D degree in any Biological Science or closely related field
Command of Greek, and/or Turkish and English
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
Postdoctoral experience (minimum of 2 years) in the field of cancer therapeutics; and/or
A strong record of relevant peer-reviewed publications in international journals as first or last author; and/or
Experience in writing up grant proposals to major funding agencies; and/or
Experience in MSc/PhD student supervision; and/or
Experience in relevant in vitro, ex vivo, in vivo and/or in silico models and research methodologies for screening, evaluating, validating and/or predicting cancer drug therapeutic effectiveness.
