The Behavioural Data Science Incubator (BDSI) is a hub of researchers in data science in the BMS faculty. The aim of this incubator is to spark innovation and collaboration in data science that involves human behaviour: to accelerate and inspire data-driven research that uses statistical models, machine learning or simulation techniques. BDSI is closely connected to the BMS lab, that facilitates a high-tech environment for social sciences including VR, new sensor technologies, knowledge in data processing, visualizations, and outcome measures. We are looking for two data scientists to further our innovative research topics. Do you like working in a dynamic team environment? Are you self-started, organised and result-oriented? Then read on!
Setting
The University of Twente is a university that stands for high tech, human touch. It is a university of entrepreneurship and technological innovation. At the same time, we acknowledge that problems and challenges in society are typically human, socially and institutionally driven.
A social sciences faculty within a technological environment allows for unique opportunities in this landscape. At the BMS faculty (Behavioural, Management and Social sciences), technology meets life: we aim to set the agenda for education and research related to the current and future role of science and technology in our society. The BMS Lab and the Incubator fit seamlessly in this setting. We aim to be an outstanding behaviour and social sciences facility. We connect researchers and students by being a catalyser for high standing and innovative research and education, with advanced data-analytic techniques and visualizations. BMS Lab and BDSI form the focal point where high tech and human touch meet. We offer high-quality infrastructure, services and resources, and aim to enable innovation in education and research. Currently, we are strengthening our team with 2 data scientists that will support innovative data-analytic research.
