The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a non-profit research and educational institution with a strong scientific and technological orientation, emphasizing international collaborations, cross-disciplinary research, innovation, and post graduate education. CyI, through its established research centres, addresses challenging issues that are important at both the regional and international levels. Many of its research activities are being carried out in partnership with leading institutions in the respective thematic areas.
The CyI accepts applications for a highly motivated professional to join the Institute at the position of ”Officer of the Research and Innovation Management and Support Office” (RIMS).
The selected candidate will report to the Head of the RIMS office and will work closely with all Scientific Coordinators and researchers of the Institute. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to a series of research and innovation support activities, support the institute’s costing practices for services related to its research activities, as well as to contribute to the monitoring and optimization of use of the institute’s labs and infrastructure. The position requires proven experience in Managing and Coordinating research projects, excellent inter-personal skills and experience in research facilities.
The appointment will be on a full time basis, initially for a period of two years, with the potential of renewal depending on performance and availability of funds. The remuneration of the position will depend on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
