Associate Research Fellowships in Optoelectronic Materials & Technologies, Sun Yat-sen University, China (2015-2016)

The State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Technologies (OEMT) in Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), Guangzhou, China, invites high calibre candidates to apply for 9 (nine) Associate Research Fellowships in the following areas:

- Space Science (one post)
- Organic and Polymer Optoelectronic Materials and Devices (two posts)

- Ultrafast processes and Phenomena (one post)

The Duties
Successful candidates will join highly active teams and carry out research in above areas. They are actively encouraged to establish own distinctive directions and open up new fronts. They may also have the opportunity to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the academic schools of SYSU, and gain experience in supervising postgraduate students within their research team. Funding and Career Prospects
All Fellowships are fully funded by SYSU. Appointments are 3 years (36 months) in the first instance and could be extended afterwards. Fellows are eligible and actively supported in applying for various research funding schemes, including the prestigious 1000 Young Talents program. After the first term of appointment, high-performance candidates have the opportunity of converting to full academics, with appointments up to Associate Professorship in a relevant academic school in SYSU. Successful 1000 Young Talents candidates would be appointed to Professorships.
