At the Leibniz ScienceCampus InfectoOptics in Jena scientists work closely together in a trans-disciplinary approach aiming to develop urgently needed tools for the diagnosis and therapy of infectious diseases based on novel optical and photonic technologies. InfectoOptics combines research in the field of optical high technologies with current topics in infection biology. The InfectoOptics doctoral researchers are integrated into the Jena School for Microbial Communication (www.jsmc.uni-jena.de), an interdisciplinary graduate training program funded by the Excellence Initiative of the German Research Foundation and based on top-level fundamental research.

We expect:
- a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Physics or related fields. Candidates about to earn their degree are welcome to apply.
