PhD Position in Civil Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Hong Kong (2016-2017)

Applications are invited for a PhD position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) under the supervision of Dr. Elias Dimitrakopoulos. Eligibility
This is a call for high caliber candidates with a Master in civil engineering, who wish to pursue a PhD degree in Civil Engineering at the HKUST.
English Requirements:
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
Paper-based test (PBT) score ≥ 650, Internet-based test (iBT) score ≥ 95
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS): overall score ≥ 7.0, all sub-scores ≥ 6.0

Funding
The standard studentship is approximately HK$15,000 (approximately €1,650) per month tax free. Strong candidates will be supported to apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme. The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship provides an annual stipend of HK$240,000 (approximately €27,000) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$10,000 per year, for 3 years.
